Appearing now on a Sun near you, AR2736 is the sunspot complex in the upper right of the solar disk, and is one of the larger sunspots in recent years. The Sun is actually in a period known as Solar Minimum, when sunspot activity tends to be less pronounced, but AR2736 sprang into existence only a few days ago and measures over 100,000 kilometers across the solar disk according to the Space Weather website. PHOTO WAS TAKEN WITH A D500 AND NIKON 800MM LENS EQUIPPED WITH A THOUSAND OAKS OPTICAL SOLAR FILTER THAT BLOCKED 99.9% OF LIGHT AND HEAT - DON'T OBSERVE OR TRY TO PHOTOGRAPH THE SUN WITHOUT ASTRONOMICAL GRADE FILTRATION IN PLACE!!!!!!!!!!
