Steps: Flatten a ball of Arctic White clay out to a 3/8" thick 10" diameter disc. Sponge on some gradated background tone while the wheel spins at high speed. Dry until leather hard. Paint somewhat mono-chromatically from dark to light. Establish and saturate the colors with multiple thinned washes. Add highlights. Bisque fire, then clear glaze. Final fire at cone 6.
