I wanted to go out and practice using it and went for a hike along the beach at Random Island, near my home. I knew that there were eagle nests much further along the beach, about a 90 minute hike, so I waited for low tide to make sure that I would have dry land to walk on in both directions.
I spotted this eagle in a tree and it flew as soon as it saw me. She began screeching and flying in high wide circles around me, so I suspected that there was a nest nearby. Soon after, another eagle arrived and the pair kept their flight pattern for about 20 minutes. I stayed as still as possible, taking photos when either of them were close. Soon one eagle flew off and this one began to fly lower and in tighter circles not far from where I was standing. I soon spotted the nest but resisted the urge to approach any closer, and was rewarded with this shot soon after.
