Night and Day: 3D Hibiscus Painting
Goal: light responsive 3D painting - changing around the clock. First I chased and repoussed 28 ga. copper sheet, 8x10". Then painted it with acrylics - mostly home made, raw pigments mixed with various matte or gloss gel media. Next photographed finished painting at 5AM, moonlight, 5 seconds exposure. Then photographed painting at dawn, 1/30th second.
