I see your work yet have you had any problems without the VR style lenses that Nikon makes? Do you have any recommendations on type and size of lens? I like taking macros yet only have a 84mm and was taking a picture of a wasp and well got to close and was stung would of like some stand off from the critters if you know what I mean and need help on lens type and size! I shoot a D700 and do not want to use a DX style lens would rather have the full frame capability heck that is why i purchased the camera in the first place Thanks for your time and the wonderful pic of the spider to tell you the truth that is the only type of spider I will even get near all the rest give me the heby jebies if you know what I mean. again thanks. As for VR, I don't really miss it on my macro lens because I always shoot hand held at 1/200 shutter speed and manual focus. Even with the 105mm and a DX camera, I was only about 8 inches away from that spider.
