1. Editors Note
===========================================================
Thanks for your interest in our non-profit community for
Nikon users.

Despite some minor quirks with the site caused by the
hosting company on June 21st and 22nd limiting the access
to the forums, this month has been excellent in regards of
member activity.

Currently seven moderators helps out in our 48 discussion
forums, and new forums have been added as well such as the

Amongst Nikonians/Nikonians Ladies forum - a discussion
forum for female photographers located at:

and the General/Camera security forum - a discussion forum

have provided an F80/N80 pocket guide in PDF format located

2. The June 2000 Photo Contest
===========================================================
Our contest is listed at www.photocontestguide.com and some
+20 photographs have been included for the June contest.

The annual contest has an equipment pool prize exceeding a
value of 10,000 USD.

3. The Nikonians Masters Society
===========================================================
Some excellent photographers have joined our Nikonians
Masters Society. This is then the board, or the jury which
selects the winner of the annual contest. We are inviting
more photographers to join the society.


4. Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie
===========================================================
Throughout 04 July to 20th of August 2000, the 31st
exposition "Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie"
is held in Arles, France (http://www.arles.org/rip).
During this event, one of our members, Pascal Baetens has
an exhibition, "Métissages sensuels" showing some 25 prints
partially from his book "The fragile touch". The exhibition
is held in the restaurant "La Bohème" which will be
transformed into a small Belgian center.

5. Free of charge cap replacement
===========================================================
If you lose (and you normally do) one or more of the caps
on your Nikon camera, such as the flash sync terminal cap,
you may call Nikon USA directly (if you're in the US) for
a free of charge replacement. The phone number is:
1-800-645-6687. Just follow the voice mail directions.

For other countries, get in touch with your national Nikon
subsidiary.
