Dear Nikonian,

Recently the Swedish photo magazine "foto" ran an AF speed test
using an AF-S 28-70 on the F6 with MB-40 focusing non-moving
objects. Compared with earlier results achieved in 1996 using a
similar setup with an F5, the F5 is slightly faster. Too bad they
didn't use the same lens to run the tests, making it banana vs.
apples. Also the bets are out that the F6 is faster as soon as it
comes to tracking moving objects. Nikonians will run field tests
on this soon.

Nikonians Photo Pro Shop has the Kirk L-brackets and plates for
the F6. The L-bracket for the F6 with MB-40 attached is not out
yet, but should be available from Kirk soon. The generic Markins
plates PG-33 (for use without MB-40) and PG-50 (to be used with
MB-40) work as well.
