So I came across this separately as it was from the same people as RawFileViewer. And it's not very expensive.
And it looked like lots of good information for people who are really digging (pun intended) into things like dynamic range, etc. And maybe sometimes I might be that guy but haven't been so far, I prefer graphs from other people's days of testing.
But I shoot raw, and spend a lot of time on post processing and trying to improve things.
My question to the OP or anyone else who uses it....
How does this help you improve specific photos? Or does it? It is more educational, or ...
How do you use it productively?

I also use RawDigger to see what editing programs like LR and DxO do to a raw file (coilor space, noise reduction, presets etc.).Tristan

Is it just interesting (a worthy concept don't get me wrong), or does it actually make a difference in how you shoot or post process?

GiantTristan Registered since 08th Jan 2006Sun 31-Jan-16 01:59 PMWell - I believe using this program has improved the technical aspects of my photography. The main benefit is that I am getting to know the capabilities of my equipment a lot better which makes photography more pleasurable and reduces time spent on PP.Tristan

"RawDigger allows one to display and research the real Raw Histogram of the raw data, which greatly differs from the in-camera histogram, as well as histograms presented by most of the raw converters."
