Outback Photo, a generally reliable source, gives the new Adobe Camera Raw plug-in a "highly recommended" rating.

I guess it all depends on how you look at it. There are at least some things it does quite well. From what I have tested with it though, I think Capture does a better job on the details, but maybe I'll have to play with it more now....
