Your profile says you use lightroom. One way with lightroom is just to select all the images you want to copy (for example, if you color coded them, you can use PM's Edit, Select Color Class and Any or a specific color), and drag and drop them into the library pane. This invokes the import dialog and will import them (make sure Move or Copy is selected) into whatever folder is set up in Lightroom.
But Photo Mechanic uses the standard windows interface for explorer. So have PM open in one window, and Explorer in another showing the folder you want to copy or move to, and drag and drop the selected photos into that.
If you are asking how to select multiple folders, you can control-click manually, or the previously mentioned Edit, Select gives you a bunch of options to select all of a certain setting as well as by date/time range and a few others.

Yes. Filter the images by your criteria. For example, Alt+click on the stars at the bottom of the contact sheet window for the star rating that you want (or alternately just click on the stars that you don't want to see). Crtl+A to highlight all, then Ctrl+Y to invoke the copy dialog to select your destination, change Copy to Move, or any of the other options
You can do the same for color classes.Mick

Nikon32250 Nikonian since 16th Mar 2004Thu 11-Feb-16 06:12 PMThanks Mick. I need to play around with the program using the suggestions offered here. A lot of times I am shooting for the local paper and have a deadline to meet. I know that PhotoMechanic is the way to go, but I have been using another free program that I know inside out and therefore is quicker for me. However it does not have all of the features of PM which is why I need to learn PM so that I can use it quickly when I am under a time crunch.Graham
