What's your favorite new feature on the D600?
I have just gotten the D600 and like the buttons to limit inadvertant movement of the exposure mode selection control dial. I almost got rid of the D7000 purely because the mode changes by being bumped. There is a new button on the D600 on top of the dial. This button must be depressed to turn the exposure mode. No more unintended changes.
Now the dial right below it to change from Single to CL to CH and Mirror Up may be worse. There is a button for that dial and it is very hard to change settings while pressing the dial. I find you have to turn the camera around and use your right hand. It is very difficult to change.

I'm not following you here, Eric. The front of the S/Cl/Ch dial is deeply ridged. I depress that little release button with my left thumb, and spin the dial from the front with my left index finger. Give it a try, you might find it works for you too. Of course there is nothing wrong with using both hands it that feels better for you.
My own favorite new feature isn't really new to most users, but it is for me. I like LiveView mode for shooting close to the ground. I have spent a lot of time on my belly in the past, craning my neck to see into the viewfinder, only to find out my horizon is crooked after the fact. Live view mode lets me spend as much time as I need to get everything just right without having to be a contortionist.

Agree with Patrick on the dial control - no issues with one handed operation for me.
Fave new feature button-wise is that a lot of the buttons now change different, but related, settings with the front and rear command wheels - some excellent shortcuts are there now (which my previous D80 didn't have).
ISO button - rear CMD = set ISO, front CMD = turn on/off auto ISO
AF button - rear CMD = set AFA/AFC/AFS, front = set single point/dynamic/3d/auto
Very nice IMO

I am with you on the mode lock button.
Hopefully the new Really Right Stuff L Plate will make it possible to use wired remote with the plate in place. The wireless remote on the D7000 is great for S Drive, but doesn't work for C Drive.
