I've been using a d7000 since they came out. Mostly use 35mm and 50mm primes with it and I have a 70-200 2.8 I Iove.
decided to buy a refurb d600 plus kit lens from B&H. It was about $1650.
FIrst, I haven't checked a shutter count but I can't tell either the lens of body from new. No marks on the mounting points of other tell tale signs. I don't know but suspect that when they made the 600-->610 transition they had a fair amount of new 600 stock. Maybe they are still bleeding it off?
As everyone knows, the control functions are almost he same as the D7000. Nice for me as I can run that one in my sleep.
The big surprise is the quality of the images using ambient lighting indoors. To me, it's nothing short of amazing compared to the d7000 which I consider to be very good.
I upgraded from a D7100 to a D610 in December. While I certainly appreciate the obvious picture quality difference what I appreciate the most is seeing things the way I used to see them back in my film days concerning focal length. Now my Sigma 35mm is a wide angle!
Congrats on your d600! I upgraded to the D600 a couple of months ago when the d600 was on close out prices. My previous body was a D5100. I love the D600 too. The image quality is nothing short of amazing!
