My D600 is about 8 mos old, maybe 800 shutter actuations and showed oil/dust after repeated cleaning with blower. I sent it off to Nikon (this is the first return), just got it back and the description of the work done is "service repair rank B2". Specifically, Rpl Shutter mechanism, Rpl rewind side rubber, ckd auto focus op, firmware upgrade, cln low pass filter. Interesting that they replaced the shutter on the first warranty return. One Question, how do I check number of shutter actuations- that's probably in Darrell's book but I missed it. I'll take some shots, shoot some more sky and add what I find to the survey.
I went to Show Inspector and it shows image number 2905 under Exif data. I assumed that with a shutter change the image number would revert to zero. Is this not the case? Also, my first sky shot shows dust (after first shot I cleaned with bulb blower, no change on second shot??).
