Yep. It would have been idiotic of Nikon to release a D610 without extensive testing to ensure there were no inherent issues of any kind, especially dust. Hope that practice continues going forward with all new releases.
I found it interesting that Mansurov Wet Cleaned his before checking. I did not and finally got around to shooting a blank sky at f22. About 15 spots. Used a rocket blower and got down to 5. The camera needed a Wet lean but I called Nikon just to let them know. They asked for a full res jpeg, and I sent it and immediately I rec'd a call asking me to send it to them. Bit of a pain since I had to get it to the Collection Center and be without my new camera for a week . I would rather have just cleaned it .
Should be back next week. I think they were being very cautious and I get great service from them. Interesting comment from lensrentals that, out of the box, the few spots were better than normal. I only had spots out of the box on my 2nd D200 but then again I never made it as point to look . Shooting BIF it always sort of became apparent . Tom
