Ouch, sorry to hear that Did only the glass crack, or is the LCD panel itself damaged as well?
iFixit's D600 teardown says the LCD is fused to the rear panel, so the whole panel needs to be replaced if you crack the LCD.
But maybe they mean only the glass is fused on? Looks like the LCD display itself is separate.
If you are willing to tackle the job yourself, you can get parts on eBay. Search "Nikon D600 parts". You can find the LCD display for $70 and the rear panel for $80. It's not clear if the rear panel has the glass attached to it.
Lots of screws and a few ribbon cable connectors, but it doesn't look like a difficult job. I don't know what a shop would charge for the job, but I've found that double the parts cost usually gets me close to the total price. So maybe $300?
