Is the Tamron Adaptall2 lens Compatible With The Nikon D600
I have a couple of Tamron lenses that I used on my FM2 but since I've gone digital I'd like to know if I could use them on my Nikon D600.
Especially my Tamron Adaptall 2 80-210mm 3.8-4. CF Tele Macro. I really love the way that lens works and it has always given me sharp, crisp results. I've actually grown up with that leans. Since I have the kit lens (24-85) with my D600 I won't be heartbroken about the other Tamron.
I've called Nikon and they gave me the brush off and Tamron doesn't have a number for support.
Thanks in advance.

The D600 should be high enough up the product line to handle the Tamron AdaptAll2 mounts. My D200 and D700 work fine with my Tamron 500mm mirror lens with the AdaptAll2 mount.

I have exactly that lens, which has been with me since 1983. It first arrived with my FM2, which was soon joined by an FA and a couple of other lenses. The 80-210 sees very little use any more, since it has been exceeded by much newer lenses - but I still have it, it still works on my digital bodies, and it has been one of the Old Reliables. I still have a 28/f2.5 Adaptall2 also. The Vivitar Series I 28-90/f2.8-3 disappeared long ago, the first lens I realized really wasn't up to scratch. (I think something must have been wrong with it; most other people had good results, but even 30 years later I can tell which shots were done with that Series I... and not in a good way.)
As far as Tamron support - just call their main number. They're pretty friendly.

The Tamron Adaptall 2 lenses work perfectly on the D600. Since they are non-CPU lenses, they work in Manual and Aperture Priority modes, just like Nikon AI lenses.
I use two Adaptall 2 lenses with my D600:
90mm SP f/2.5 macro, with the 2x converter as needed
The Adaptall system is ingenious. I used the same lenses on Pentax cameras before I switched to Nikon.
