I only have about 300 clicks on my D600 but sensor (photo) looks terrible even w/o magnification. Is there a way to tell oil from dust spots? I am getting ready to send my camera in to Nikon with an example photo (about 100 spots). With winter here, most of those shots were indoors. when I change a lens I have the body face down- I don't think I could be responsible for much contamination. I have never cleaned a sensor and am reluctant on a new camera. I've thought about trying dry cleaning but if its oil that won't help. On recent posts re the problem, my photos look about like all the rest.
I ask the question above as I don't want to send it in just to have Nikon send it back saying it was only dust and my responsibility to clean.
PS Honest, I only use WD 40 once a week to oil the camera! Jim B
