I'm trying to do a timelapse with my D600, and SB800 flash on-camera.My problem is I can't keep the flash going even with fresh charged batteries. I have the camera set up with the flash set to fill flash. How should I have the flash set up to do this?

Could you give us a little more information? For example...
What type of batteries are in the SB-800? What is the subject? What aperture setting are you using on the camera? How many shots are you trying to take, and at what interval? How many shots do you get before things go wrong? Exactly what happens when the SB-800 no longer operates?
It may be simply that the desired shot interval does not allow enough time for the Speedlight to re-charge.

SB800 batteries are Enloop AA's. The subject is an orchid blooming. I'm using a Nikon micro 60mm @ f22 (even there,DOF is about 1"). I'm taking shots 1/min, but the camera battery is running out at about 2-1/2 hours, (another problem?)The flash fires 2 or 3 times then quits. The ready light on the flash.
P.S. I may have already found my solution. The flash batteries seem to have lost their charge in the last few days! Definitely not like Enloops . I'll try now with other batteries.
