Right out of the box, then some time getting set ups the way I wanted them including my personal menu on my new D600 and then the first image...part of my digital dark room (ok, office). Now the feel of this camera, while different from my D700, is still mighty fine a lot like the D7000 I own. I have to say that then I went out and did handheld night photography to experience the absurdity of 25,600 ISO. I will post a couple of those in the "A Picture I Took" Forum. I vote YES...get a Nikon D600, if you can swing it, and add it to your arsenal! It is going to be fun.
Congratulations John! I too notice the difference in the feel of this camera compared to my D300 but I am certainly warming up to the massive dynamic range and versatility of this camera! Going to look at those ridicules high ISO shots now! Have fun with your new toy!
