D600: Question on using IR remote release

When making an exposure with the Nikon IR remote if you choose the 2 second delay does the mirror lock up and two seconds later does the shutter release?


Also... If you have the camera set to bracket a sequence of exposures can this sequence be set off using the IR remote... And if so scan the 2 second delay be selected and will the mirror remain locked up throughout the sequence?
