As a D7000 shooter, I finally made the big jump and purchased the D600. Had it for a couple of months or so and the camera is simply "amazing".
Yes, I will keep my 7k as a second body.
I would like to purchase a wireless trigger that will work with both camera's but my primary is the D600. The feature that I would be most ingested in is the long exposure. Of course, I would like to use it with my SB700 and other general remote usage.
Both models have a ton of functions, timelapse, long exposures, timer, etc. I've not tried mine yet (only had it for a couple of days), but it was highly recommended by Matt Kosklowski from NAPP. He used it recently for some night shooting in Monument Valley. I'm going to be using mine for some night shooting next week in Joshua Tree NP.
I just bought the wired Vello shutterboss from B&H on sale for my D600. Features galore and has more capability than the Nikon model. Only checked that all features responded and worked well on the D600.
