Hi,
i recently purchased the D600 and use it in combination with a 300mm f2.8 and 1.7ii tc.

i primarily use this setup to shoot birds. being a newbie to the dslr world and post processing, i have downloaded a trial version of capture nx2.

during pp in capture nx2, after cropping (significant), i find that the image area remains to the cropped size and during expansion, it tends to lose clarity etc.

is there a setting i need to change in the body or in capture nx2. i understand yes, from shifting over from a dx format i wont enjoy the 1.5 crop factor, but the pixel count should compensate for the 1.5 crop. right?

any suggestions in this regard would be extremely useful.

Cheers
Vinayak
