One of the many things I like about the D600 is the User Settings option.

However, it would appear that just about all settings can be saved to either U1 or U2 except the FX or DX modes.

In other words, it will retain image size and quality, white balance, manual or aperture, etc.

I make my settings for FX and save to U1, then for DX and save to U2. When I switch from U1 to U2 I then have to remember to manually switch from FX to DX with the Fn button.

Anyone have a similar experience?

BTW--I've been shooting with a D2X/D200 combo, but the D200 might well be in retirement, save for rugged outdoor assignments.

Wow. This D600 is really everything I've read about!!
