Just updated d610 to firmware version C:1.01 No problems. I assume that the only reason for this camera firmware update is to allow the d610 to use the soon to be released firmware update for lens distortion control data Ver. L: 2.000 I don't see any other modifications to the camera firmware that the new 1.01 enables
So Jim. Maybe you have been asked a zillion times already, but if you'll be a film guy forever or until the last roll and lab are gone, what brings you to our D610 forum other than your good looks??....Mike

I am very interested in seeing what the new V.2xxx lens distortion control update brings to the JPEG camera files for new Nikkor lenses, like the AFS 58mm 1.4 G, not covered under the older V.1.009 distortion control update from last July 2013. If you do not regularly use newer Nikkor lenses that are not covered by the older V.1.009 update, I assume that this soon to be released V.2xxx update will not make any difference in your JPEG files? But I intend to update my Nikon cam bodies to the newer lens distortion control update when it becomes available - as I rent lenses frequently:
I shoot both and I have a D700, D600, and V1 but I also shoot a EM, FE2, FM3a, F100, N80. I have about 20 rolls of film in the freezer and 6 rolls ready to shoot. My N80 is loaded with AGFA APX BW and my FM3a has Provia 400 loaded.
