I called today to follow up my online order and verify it went through - Roberts says it did, they have recently cleared their pre-orders and had enough units in stock to handle however many orders came in during the weekend - which they are working furiously to pack and ship today!!
Thanks Roberts, mine arrived today, seems like in great shape, packed well and safe for the trip. Battery (not involved in recall) charging, can't wait to play!! Good luck with you other guys getting yours this week. Thanks again for the tip from Roberts.
Thanks to Jim's (emi fiend) heads up post in another thread, I ordered from Roberts on line at about 7:00 AM yesterday. I just got an email with a UPS tracking no. from Roberts, delivery Friday. Yippee.
The camera functions and is beautiful, but I found that the Kingston 32 Gb 600x CF card that I had purchased to use with the camera does not work in the camera - bummer. Haven't checked the focus issue
I will shoot some pictures this weekend, as right now life has gotten in the way.
Let us know how you make. I do not have the focus issue, very happy. Also really happy with Roberts turnaround and how they packed the camera, very well. Know there have been other conversations about some vendors just throwing a new box around the camera box, Roberts packed this one well, very happy with the shape it arrived in.
I shot some pictures around the yard. I can't detect any left focus issue, but my tests are not rigorous. My camera serial numbeer is 3015447. Attached photo was shot with the Nikon 105VR lens. Additional contrast and a little sharpening added.
For the record, I am lucky enough to live in Indy where Roberts is located. I have been dealing with them for years (more than 25) and throughout that time, they have been a first-rate vendor. No affiliation. Just a happy return (time and again) customer. And, oh yes, I pre-ordered and got my D800 at Roberts as well.
