Importing portrait images into iPhoto on a Mac problems.
Has anyone experienced issues importing portrait modes images into iPhoto from a D800? Have tried both as jpeg and raw, thru camera via USB and with card out of camera. Portrait mode images import as blank files. Landscape images import with no problems. Have seen a couple of posts on other forums but no solutions. Images view fine on camera and I can open them in other programs if I manually move them onto my computer so it seems to be an iPhoto issue of some kind

I do not have a problem with importing into iPhoto or Aperture or Nikon capture (via Nikon Transfer). If I try to edit the images while they are on the card, then I will have problems and Nikon has affirmed this. But, if the images are on my hard drive, not a problem.

I had no trouble importing both portrait and landscape from the CF card in a FW attached reader.
I don't normally use iPhoto myself, but have it principally to help some friends with somewhat/very limited computer skills, so this was just an experiment today, but I note that yesterday I installed the latest Apple Camera RAW update. It claimed to add the 800E, but whether it also silently fixed something with the 800 itself I don't know.
My iPhoto version is iPhoto '11 version 9.2.3 (629.52)
