I normally use the Matrix metering option on my Nikon cameras, but I just read on page 115 of the D800 manual that Nikon recommends the Center-weighted option when using a filter factor over 1X. The Nikon 77mm circular polarizer is rated at a filter factor between 2.3 and 2.8 (approx. +1.3 stops).

Does this mean that I should normally use the Center-weighted setting for metering when I use this circular polarizer?
