ACR 6.7 was just released last week (out of beta) and will support your D800. Whether or nor ACR 6.7 is compatible with CS6 is unknown to me as I run CS5 and LR4 (compatible). Should be able to find ACR 6.7 on Adobe's website.
You're not alone. I just downloaded CS6, which has ACR 7.0 and -- no support for D800 files. I went to the Adobe website and downloaded the patch that supposedly is for ACR in CS6, but it won't install.
Meanwhile, in CS5, all is well. I went to Help/Update, and ACR 6.7 came in smoothly, and in fact does read D800 files. The Help/Update in CS6 as of now says that no update is available.
Also, capture NX2 is working fine with D800 files, as is Lightroom 4 (which I hate).
So I can edit D800 files pretty much anywhere -- except in CS6. It must be that we're just too early. I hope. Help must be on the way, right? Hmmm.
