No doubt, the D800E seems to have better acuity. I am trying to decide between a new camera or new glass. I want to get more serious about landscapes and wildlife. New glass is about $3000 in addition to what my Nikon 500mm f/4P would bring. So is the camera. Can anyone show a comparison between equal crops on a D700 and a D800 or D880E? I know the 800-series will be better, but how much better? I will have a pro lab do my prints, and I hope to get some really larger ones. I am a serious amateur who wants to get a lot more serious.
