So the D800 has a resolution of 36MP and it has an anti-aliasing filter that blurs the image approximately one pixel.

The D800E still has a sensor of 36MP but does not blur the image. So the question becomes:

What resolution does a D800E without an anti-aliasing filter compare to when compared to a higher resolution camera with an anti-aliasing filter?

Would a 36MP D800E be equal to a 52MP camera with an anti-aliasing filter? 72MP?

Just curious....
