I've been playing around with the D800 with various lenses. Obviously the automatic lens corrections (e.g. vignette, chroma abberation, distortion, etc...) work with Nikon lenses. Out of curiosity I tried a couple of Sigma lenses (12-24mm and 70-200mm) and with Capture NX2, at least, corrections were made for those lenses as well - and they appear to be right.
It seems that Capture NX2 "knows" about these Sigma lenses. Now I wonder if the camera itself also handles these lenses when producing JPEG's. I'll have to do some more testing to find out. I'll post again when I get some results.

I'm doing the lens corrections to the NEF in Lightroom and the Lens Correction needs to be used on my D800E files otherwise the CA is terrible.
I have some with and without corrections on Flickr.
