D800 custom the front dial?
Hi Guys, I have recently switched from a canon 5D mkIII to a d800 and am over the moon with the results. I shoot in shutter priority mode for 99.9% of the time and whilst in that mode the thing that I change the most is the number of focus points (1,9,21,51 etc). It is quite awkward to do this quickly and would love there to be a way of re-programming the front dial to do this. not sure if it is even possible, any help would be great, Tony

Changing the number of focus points is a two handed operation, but you can do it with the camera in shooting position. Push the center of the AF switch with your left thumb and turn the front dial with your right index finger. You can see the settings in the top LCD and in the viewfinder. Using your right thumb on the rear dial while pushing the AF button switches between AFC and AFS.
