First off, I'm not a pro - just like to have fun taking pics! I took my new D800 out for a walk today in the nearby arboretum and all I can say is "wow!" I love the color and depth being created. This is definitely an upgrade from my D700 (and I loved that too).
The biggest thing I noticed is that shooting technique really does matter. Taking my time, steadying my arms, and generally going slow led to much sharper shots. I used to think this was important with the 700 (and it was). Now it's even more important.
I can't wait to play more!!!

nice pictures!, what lens did you use ?, i also would like to add some but dunno how
took it to a bird show and shot some tigers/monkeys balballaa
cannot wait to take this camera to africa, the resolution is phenomenal and i do not have any issues with blur caused by density.
The autofocus is insane for tracking birds, and since i was used to d7000/7d the iso performence is a big leap forward for me !
