My trusty D800E died today, while taking photos it went dead. would not turn on after changing batteries. It was sent to nikon for repair estimate, it is out of Nikon's warranty but under Amex's one, I will update as to the cause and fix if any.

I went ahead an purchased a backup body, another 800E and found it had 21 exposures before I began testing it on Focal.
Best Focus Point: Focus point index 35, Average QoF = 232.6
Worst Focus Point: Focus point index 4, Average QoF = 124.9 (center 147)
I was surprised at the results as my old trusty 800E had a 450-420 QoF range with the same lens. Also the pattern was similar to an 800 that I had for a short time after nikon "fixed" the left focus problem it had, softer in the center.
This one is going back to the dealer for a swap for another hopefully with a good sensor.
