Was doing some portraits & discovered that my D800 won't fire external flashes when group A/B set to manual mode & built in flash turned off (built in flash is commander). Works with built in flash set to TTL, but I don't want that. Googled it and see that Nikon acknowledge a fault with "Early D800's"

Anyone know if a fix is in the works ? Mines out of warranty - will Nikon fix it FOC since its an acknowledged mfg fault ? Bit annoyed that I only just found this !

See http://lumenatic.com/2013/06/21/d800-cls-issue-feedback-from-nikon-germany-its-a-hardware-and-software-issue/

for a detailed exposition of the issue.

My camera works with Aperture fully open, so hopefully the advertised firmware fix will correct the issue ...

Interested to hear from others who have the problem also

Jeff
