Simply marvelous, intuitive ergonomics. Took a couple quick snaps, and wow - FX will take some getting some used to, but incredibly sharp, detailed images. Shooting at ISO 1600 was a joy, very little PP work to do.
Have a great time with the 800E. You may find, as I did, that moving to FX may cause you to revisit your photographic fundamentals when it comes to holding the camera still. The 800 series is so sharp that it will show any faults in technique.

I can relate as well. Especially the "want to retake every picture i ever took."!! There are a couple in particular i wish i'd had the D800, but look forward to trying the next time it's in front of the lens!
