Shutter sound on the D800

I received my new D800 with a Nikon 28-300 lens on Wed and have taken several hundred photos so far. Hope to take a bunch more this weekend. Just getting use to the differences with it and my D80. So far I really like it. Couple of things I have noticed:

1- the shutter sounds quite a bit different than the D80. Just curious, did they change the mechanism?

2- On 2 images it took up to 15 or more seconds for the image to pop up on the LCD after the shot. All others pop up immediately. Anyone else experience that? The settings on those 2 shots were identical to the others that didn't lag
