D800 Auto Focus - Left Sensor

I can't tell you if my D800 has the left sensor focus problem, but something is apparently wrong. Images with the focus sensor point in right upper quadrant of the frame appear soft. The problem is consistent in all my prime lenses. Albeit the camera does appear to focus, but in front of the focus point.

I've returned my camera to Melville for evaluation and repair. I'm not encouraged by what I hear from shooters who have returned their cameras.


Has Nikon acknowledged the problem?
When I get the camera back, what kind of tests are best to confirm the correction? What kind of chart should I use?
What are the best practices for focus adjustment?
