I saw a rubberized LCD hood that lets you see crisper images on the LCD in bright sunlight. The gadget had a rectangular frame that you first stick around the LCD screen. The exposed side of this frame is magnetic (at least that's what the shopkeeper said). The rubberized hood, which has a metal frame, is then placed over the rectangular frame and it sticks due to the magnet.

My question is, will not the magnet, howsoever weak, cause problems with the internal electronics? I want to be 100% sure. We always keep the camera away from magnetic fields, so I want to be doubly sure before I try this out on my camera.

Your opinions please. Does anyone out there use such a device?
Thanks.

Rohinton
