I am so far, impressed.

I took my first photo of one of my cats. While viewing on the camera, I pushed the zoom in button EIGHT times to see the cat's eye! Wow!

Initial observations:

Solid, feels sturdy.

The shutter click is softer. With my 28-70 on it, the shots of the cat were crystal Lear.

They included a plastic "thingie", which turned out to be a USB plug holder for plugging in the cord to the side of the camera. You can plug in the USB without it. It just seems to function as an additional sturdying implement. An awkward one. I think I will not use it.

What's this little yellow thing in the battery compartment - packing material? Looks like it may fall out. You can see the spring. Hmm...

So far, overall impressed.
