Maybe someone can figure this out.
I am using D800e with the OEM grip and Nimh AAs, Eneloops and Imedions.
If I shoot 100-150 shots in a day and then put camera away for a few days and then shoot again I can only shoot up to 400 shots.
If I shoot 900 shots per day I can shoot over 2000.
The logical thing would be that grip burns batteries overnight.
But, no it does not. I checked the voltage of the pack and it is the same the evening before and in the morning or several days later.
I just shot Wondercon for 3 days with over 2000 shots on the same set and the battery pack is down to 2 bars.
These batteries are NOT self discharging Nimhs.

I have no clue why.
