Sadly I lost 95% of my camera equipment in Hurricane Sandy. Planning to buy a D800 when FEMA reimburses me for some of my loss. A few questions about NEF files.
1. I use Photoshop CS5. Will that itterence of PS read a NEF file taken on a D800?
2. If not, can it be read in Lightroom 3.7?
3. Adobe has a conversion program that changes NEF's to PNG. It is a free download. DNG's supposedly can be read. The DNG's are considered almost lossless. Has anyone had any info as to how "lossless" they really are?
Thanx in advance.
