I watched a video on Kelby Training by Dave Black. In it, he said he used one of his older L-Brackets from some other camera and grip. RRS usually puts an imprint on their brackets. Dave said there weren't any markings on the one he was using, so I'd assume it is a Kirk bracket?

Just thought I might pick up a used one on eBay for much less this time around if I knew which one worked.

I tried an old D300 grip just now and it doesn't allow easy access to the side panel for the HDMI and USB3 ports. I seldom use those ports, so maybe it'd work okay for the short term.

Thanks in advance,
Mike Jackson
