I wasn't doing anything special - just rotate the power switch twice in succession and the info display comes up on the LCD. As Linwood says, it's setting f1 in the menus (I hadn't read that before in the user manual).

Yep....I used to use it that way. But then thought it was just a little more "wear and tear" on the switch and the info button should be more durable and not that much harder to use. I would rather that my info button wear out than my on/off switch. Just my personal paranoia.
