Will these old Nikkor's work on a D800?
Can anyone tell me if these 2 lenses can be used on a D800? They belonged to my Father-in-law who has passed on and I thought it would be fun to shoot some images with them. I realize of course that autofocus/metering/etc will not function but I want to make sure they wouldn't do any damage to the camera body mount or mirror. They are F-mount lenses but they are as old as at least the 1979's.
Thanks for any help.

Welcome to Nikonians!
Judging by the serial numbers, both lenses are "Ai" models - if so, they will certainly mount with no problems on a D800. As you say, they are obviously manual focus, but metering should work if you enter the lenses' details into the camera's Non-CPU Lens data in the menus.
You might want to check out our Manual Focus Lenses Forum to discuss the lenses further.
