Well, after two days I am still trying to buy and licence the software. This is the most cumbersome process I have ever seen complete with asking me to input numbers that aren't there into boxes where they don't tell you how to get there .. Totally frustrated and I haven't even started.
Update: Ok, I am finally in ... I have purchased and installed what must be hundreds of software packages over the years but never one so poorly described in the instructions and cumbersome. Just a few more words in the right places would have made this process a whole lot easier.
The good news is that the documentation that came with the download seems quite clear.
I purchased the FoCal Pro software about a week ago and have tested with my D-300 and D-800. The software is highly intuitive and I've found the test I have run so far to be straight forward. I have run just the multi-point AF tests. The one recommendation I would make is to use manual mode to select the focus points that you want to test. If you select all, figure on about 1 1/2 hours to run the test. Another downside to selecting all is the size of the output report. Upwards of 200 pages when I selected -20 to +20 at count of 6 and focus accuracy of 2%. Overall, extremely pleased with the tool.
