Aftermarket MB-D12 grip..... revisited

I did a little research myself.
I took apart my OEM grip to find out that wheel, screw and all gearing inside are riveted together to a metal plate. The metal alignment pin is part of it too.
Meike grip has plastic alignment pin so I think but not so sure if Meike has that metal plate on inside hence OP's grip gearing got stripped.
I think all other AF grips got metal pin which could be a good indicator of the metal plate inside otherwise I don't see the way OP's grip getting stripped.
If anyone with Meike grip like to open it and confirm it would be appreciated.
