I received my D800 on Thursday and had a chance to go out and shoot it that night and the following morning. While I have loved my D300, I think it is officially retired.

The last two impressed me the most. The cityscape was shot at ISO 3200 with no noise reduction.

The football player has less depth of field/more separation at 2.8 than I am used to seeing from a crop sensor camera. And while it doesn't shoot the 8fps that the D300 can, the camera focuses more reliably, which means more keepers.
