I have not purchased a Nikon 1 V1 (having trouble getting my head around spending $1K for a P&S vs putting that money toward a D700 future replacement), but I am considering it. Assuming I purchase the lens adapter, will the V1 work with AIS lenses, specifically my old 35-105 f/3.5-4.5? If I got the V1 I am sure I would purchase the 10mm pancake, but I am not sure of the utility of the other zoom lenses as they are slow. The 35-105 is my sole remaining manual focus lens that is not f/2.8 or faster. My newer lenses are all fast glass and auto focus, but I am not sure if I need to use AFS lenses only or would AFD lenses work on the V1 with the adapter? Sorry if this is the wrong forum if I should have asked this in the Nikon 1 forum or if it is a moronic question as I have only scanned the V1 data and have only actually held a J1 with a pancake lens.
