Last week two of my files were said by the V1 to have been taken in 2010, with the correct date and time otherwise. Yesterday a series of about ten was taken in 2016, again with the correct date and time.
Has anybody else seen this?
I have the GPS unit attached, and the interface could be flipping a bit here and there (both '0' and '6' differ from '2' in a single bit, if the interface uses text with ASCII encoding).
Check you camera's setup for the date, time, and time zone.
Are you using the GPS to set the date & time, page 179 of user manual.
From page 185:
"The date of recording is not correct: Set the camera clock (Page 19, 158)."
Do you store the camera with the battery in or out. If out, then the internal rechargeable clock battery keeps the time and if stored over about 3 months that battery will be drained. It takes about 24 hours with a charged camera battery to recharge this battery. If the clock battery cannot keep a charge then you need to contact Nikon Service or a Nikon Authorized Service Center.
